CHRISTMAS TIME

Another time of end of years
Of baking scents and ginger beers
With punch de crème and hams with clove
And wrapping gifts while watching the stove

On the over-drive cleaning and painting whole day
A few hours away from Christmas day
Still have some time to take a drink with thee
Now begging help to mount your Christmas tree

Now its twelve o’clock on the dot
You are tired like hell but you cannot stop
Now your cell and landline are ringing off the hook
It is Christmas day in everyone’s book.
