Christmas is coming, the sorrel getting red
Time to make fruit cake and bake bread
Painting and cleaning on top of the lists
And who like stomach, in butterball bliss
Christmas is coming, parang music playing
Cooler sunrise and evening sun not staying
While poinsettias litter sidewalks sales
Women purchase curtain by the bales
Christmas is coming, Poui trees in bloom
The country’s swept with yuletide broom
All over the place, office parties galore
Some bound to break new breathalyzer law
Christmas is coming, yes to Trinidad
Oh how we love this season real bad.
